In the Odesa port, French representatives saw the consequences of the Russian attacks
The port of Odesa was visited by a parliamentary delegation of the French Republic led by the head of the National Assembly of France, Mrs. Yael Bron-Pivet.
During the official visit, Mrs. Bron-Pivet personally inspected the seaport, which was repeatedly attacked by enemy missiles and drones, USPA said.
The guest got acquainted with the consequences of Russian terrorism, saw with her own eyes the destruction of critical infrastructure and strongly condemned the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
During the meeting, the delegation was introduced to the security situation in the region and told about the functioning of the grain corridor. Particular attention was paid to the importance of restoring the port infrastructure and protecting Odesa from systemic attacks by the aggressor.
As a souvenir of the visit to the Odesa port, the members of the delegation were presented with bags of Ukrainian grain – a symbol of the historical mission of Ukraine, which, starting from the 18th century, was and remains the “granary” of Europe.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, the management of SE “USPA”, representatives of the Armed Forces Navy and local authorities.
USM previously reported that the USPA boat will bear the name of the deceased pilot Serhii Surin. He died on November 8, 2023, as a result of a Russian attack on the civil infrastructure of the port “Pivdennyi”, while performing official duties.
It will be recalled that on November 8, the invaders attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa region with an X-31P missile. The projectile hit a Liberian-flagged bulk carrier as the vessel entered port.
