It became known when coal for DTEK will come to Ukraine
The first two vessels with thermal coal for DTEK will arrive in Ukraine in November, four in December, and one in January.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that soon seven Panamax-type cargo vessels will deliver almost 470 thousand tons of energy coal to the country. Coal from the USA and Colombia is imported by order of DTEK for the needs of thermal power plants.
According to DTEK, five deliveries of thermal coal are expected from the United States, and two from Colombia. The volume of each shipload is 40-75 thousand tons.
The nearest batch of 60 thousand tons of coal, contracted by DTEK, is intended for the needs of the state-owned Centrenergo and will arrive in Ukraine this week.
DTEK recalled that, in addition to deliveries by sea, the company imports coal from Poland. Also in September-October, the company imported coal from Kazakhstan. In total, DTEK Energo imported about 356 thousand tons of coal in autumn.
“Thus, at present, the total volume of already contracted gas coal from Poland, the USA and Kazakhstan amounted to about 0.9 million tons. The company does not stop there and is negotiating additional volumes of imported coal,” the press service said.
