It is increasingly difficult for the Russians to sustain their fleet in Africa

The invaders faced difficulties in the logistical support of their groups in Africa.

This is connected with the “problems” in the Black Sea, in particular the ports in Crimea, explained the spokesman of the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of the telethon.

According to him, Russia has its interests in Africa, as well as in the Syrian Arab Republic.

“These are their geopolitical interests. There they support another dictator and destroy the civilian population as well. For this they use the fleet. Because there they have no support from the active regular army. They are based in Tartus, previously this group was provided at the expense of Crimea, at the expense of Novorossiysk, i.e. via the Black Sea. It was the so-called Syrian express,” explained the spokesman of the Armed Forces Navy.

He noted that this way was working last year. Civilian vessels chartered in the interests of the Russian Federation were used for this purpose.

“Now they are forced to go around the whole of Europe. This is about 9 thousand kilometers. In this way, they rotate, at the expense of the Northern and Baltic fleets,” said Dmytro Pletenchuk.

The spokesman emphasized that this makes life much more difficult for the occupiers, because logistics is one of the “pillars” on which any war rests. Without logistical support, the conduct of any hostilities actually becomes impossible.

In particular, during their transition from the north to the Mediterranean, the Russians do not have the opportunity to enter European ports.

“This is a long, heavy “shoulder”, and the rotation does not take place at the expense of the Black Sea Fleet, as it was before. There remained units that could not return with the start of a full-scale invasion. For example, two submarines that are carriers of cruise missiles – 636 project. They were forced to go north,” concluded Dmytro Pletenchuk.

We will remind you that the Russian Federation secretly exports agricultural products and other goods to African countries through India and Turkey. Last year, Russia increased exports to Sub-Saharan Africa to almost 14 billion dollars. Instead, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to this region amounted to about 180 million dollars.
