IT Ukrainians have created the technology to control all stages of grain export
A member of the EBA logistics committee and his IT team created a technological solution to eliminate the conditions that caused the embargo on Ukrainian products. This technology is planned to be transferred to the European Commission for use free of charge.
Ukrainian entrepreneur, member of the logistics committee of the European Business Association (EBA) Yurii Shchuklin plans to provide the European Commission with a new technology and information system free of charge. The main goal of the development is to ensure end-to-end planning and control of transportation.
“This technology and system makes it possible to transparently and openly plan business processes with Ukrainian grain exports by all involved participants in the logistics chain. We are talking about operators of railway transport, car fleets, elevators, ports,” Shchuklin said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine .
According to him, the IT team worked on the development for four years. The system will allow to separate transit goods from imports to European countries, synchronize the interaction of businesses and state structures. In real time, it will be possible to assess the impact of cargo on infrastructure congestion and consumer markets.
“State structures must be involved in it: customs, all control services, inspections, etc. This system is an environment where any participants interact with each other not at the level of officials and managers, but at the level of automated systems of these enterprises and organizations. When data is entered into the system, it becomes available to everyone involved. The system allows you to allocate resources in such a way that there is no overload, to see in advance in which part of the logistics chain tension may arise and to react in a timely manner so that it does not occur,” explained a member of the logistics committee.

Anyone can join the new system to see partners’ resources, contract, order and share their resources with other participants. Also, the technology makes it possible to objectively assess the potential of the “paths of solidarity” and will help eliminate the conditions that caused the embargo on Ukrainian grain.
“This tool will allow us to control the amount of cargo entering and leaving the European Union: what part of it settles and how it affects steel markets, whether it replaces someone’s production capacity or not. Europeans protect their market allegedly from the dumping of Ukrainian goods, but do not see how much money they lose by closing the markets. Maybe many times more. After all, Ukrainians pay a lot of money for transportation services, transshipment, and the Polish railway PKP, LHS, other railways, private operators, ports – all receive additional income,” Yuriy Shchuklin concluded.
As previously reported by USM, it became known how Poland will control the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products.
