Lithuania wants to produce naval drones: one for itself, one for Ukraine

Lithuania wants to launch the production of naval drones according to the “1+1” scheme: one for itself and one for Ukraine.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovilė Šakalienė told “Militarnyi”.

According to her, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry is interested in Ukrainian surface strike UAVs, as well as missile drones and other weapons.

“In my opinion, Magura is an excellent military product,” the minister commented.

She added that Lithuania is considering launching joint production of certain types of weapons using the “1+1” principle. According to this principle, Lithuania will pay for the production and transfer half of the manufactured weapons to Ukraine.

“That is, we pay for the production of two weapons, one of which is transferred to Ukraine, and the other remains in Lithuania, but we pay for both,” Šakalienė explained.

Earlier, USM reported that the Defense Intelligence announced further improvements to the Magura naval drones.
