Operational summary as of the morning of March 22, – General Staff

The twenty-seventh day of confrontation between Ukraine and its citizens against Russian military aggression has begun.

There have been no significant changes in the position and nature of the actions of the defense forces over the past 24 hours. Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other defense units continued to strike at the groupings of the enemy troops, who tried to hold the captured lines and succeeded in some areas.

Over the previous day, units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Air Defense of the Ground Forces hit more than 9 air targets of the enemy: one aircraft, 6 UAVs and 2 helicopters; the number of missiles shot down is specified.

Aviation of the Air Force delivered strikes against accumulations of equipment and manpower of the enemy, conducted air battles and intercepted targets. Over the past 24 hours, more active actions of the enemy have been noted.

The occupiers continue to have problems with providing their troops. According to available information, the stocks that the Russian military has at its disposal on the territory of Ukraine are designed for no more than three days. A similar situation is observed with fuel, which is transported by tankers. The invaders failed to organize a pipeline connection to meet the needs of the group of troops.

The Russian invaders continue to carry out aggressive propaganda work about the need to take part in the war with Ukraine with the personnel of the armed forces of Belarus.

In the Оkhtyrsky district of the Sumy region, facts of disobedience of the Russian military were recorded. About 300 invaders left the area of the operation on 70 units of equipment.

In the temporarily occupied territories of the Lugansk region, due to heavy losses of manpower, the enemy continues to mobilize citizens of the so-called “LPR”. A significant part of the population does not support the policy of the occupiers, does not want to take up arms and is hiding from representatives of the occupying authorities. Mobilization is carried out randomly.

The defenders of Mariupol destroyed the Raptor patrol boat and the Leer-3 electronic warfare system.

During the hostilities, the enemy temporarily holds the land corridor with the occupied Crimea and blocks access to the Sea of Azov.

In Polesieduring the day, the enemy tried to intensify the offensive, suffered losses, but did not achieve success. Continues air reconnaissance.

On the Siverskydirection, the enemy is not conducting an active offensive, continuing to introduce additional units into the territory of Ukraine, in particular, a battalion tactical group from the 90th Panzer Division.

The subdivisions of the invader continue shelling Chernihiv and other settlements, do not abandon attempts to attack in the direction of Brovary, but due to losses, they are not successful in advancing. They are trying to replenish supplies and conduct reconnaissance.

On the Slobozhanskydirection, the enemy is partially blockading the city of Sumy, carrying out artillery shelling of Kharkov. Support units of the occupying troops are trying to restore the section of the railway from the city of Valuyki to Kupyansk.

On the Pivdennobugsky direction, the invaders went on the defensive, trying to restore damaged armored vehicles.

On the Mykolaiv direction, as a result of a counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is forced to retreat to unfavorable lines.

Enemy aviation continues to destroy infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions with missile and bomb strikes.

It is expected that the enemy will continue to carry out missile and bomb strikes and shelling of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure using rocket artillery, aviation, precision weapons and indiscriminate ammunition.
