Pavlo Ryabikin is the new Minister for Strategic Industries


Today the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine) has appointed a new Minister for Strategic Industries.

Ryabikin’s candidacy was approved instead of Oleg Urusky, who was dismissed on November 3rd.

Pavlo Borysovich Ryabikin (56 years old) – Ukrainian politician, diplomat, lawyer. People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the VII convocation. Since 2012 – Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. From July 15th, 2009 to April 27th, 2010 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Denmark. From July 22nd, 2014 to September 15th, 2015 – Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration.

Education: 1989 – Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University, Faculty of International Relations and International Law; 1992 – postgraduate studies in the same place. Internship: 1987 – Leipzig University, 2000 – University of Kiel.
