Poland did not stop negotiations with Ukraine, claimed the ambassador
Poland did not stop negotiations with Ukraine on agrarian issues, and negotiations are still ongoing at all levels.
Warsaw did not stop negotiations with Kyiv on agrarian issues, negotiations continue at all levels. Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Zvarych told Ukrinform about this.
“It is not about stopping the negotiations, because the talks continue at all levels, including at the level of the embassy. For objective reasons known to us, there was simply a need to postpone the meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine and Poland to a later date, when the official person of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy will be determined from the Ukrainian side to participate in such a meeting,” Zvarych emphasized.
He assured that interest in continuing meetings at the level of relevant ministries with the involvement of farmers’ associations of the two countries remains high, and such dialogue is effective.
Earlier, Poland’s deputy minister of agriculture, Michal Kolodziejczak, said that Poland had suspended negotiations with Ukraine regarding farmers’ protests due to the suspicion announced to Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi.
According to Kolodziejczak, Poland and Ukraine planned another round of negotiations on May 14. However, the negotiations were canceled due to the fact that “some of their representatives were accused of corruption.”
We will remind, on May 9, Mykola Solskyi was dismissed from the post of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
