Polish farmers continue to not allow trucks from Ukraine to pass

The protesters did not let a single truck pass through the three checkpoints over the past day.

Polish farmers continue to block the movement of trucks at three checkpoints – “Yagodzin”, “Rava-Ruska” and “Ugryniv”, writes Ukrinform.

Andriy Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Service, said that through “Ugryniv” the protesters did not let a single car go to Ukraine. Through “Jagodzin” protesters allow an extremely small number of trucks to leave Poland per day.

“Over the past day, there were 70 of them despite the fact that this is the largest infrastructural direction for crossing the border by trucks, which is capable of passing about 1,400 trucks in both directions,” Andriy Demchenko added.

As of the morning of April 16, there are a total of about 600 trucks in queues on the territory of Poland at these three blocked points.

There are also queues at the previously unblocked directions of the checkpoints “Krakivets” and “Shegyna” – 900 and 450 trucks, respectively. However, there is heavy traffic in these directions both for exit from Ukraine and for entry in accordance with the capacity of each of the checkpoints.
