Ports of Great Odesa can provide up to 8% of additional GDP in 2023
The operation of the ports of Great Odesa in the Black Sea next year can provide Ukraine with up to 8% of additional GDP.
The effect of the operation of the Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi ports can be up to 8% of GDP growth in 2024, Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said, “Ukrinform” reports.
“We understand that the effect of resuming the operation of these ports may add up to 8% of GDP next year. Because our main industries – metallurgical and agricultural – are not working at full capacity, if we compared with the figures that were before the large-scale war,” he commented.
Kubrakov also noted that almost 9 million tons of cargo have been transported through the Ukrainian corridor in the Black Sea since September. Almost 70% of them are agricultural products.
