Preparations for concession continue at the port of Chornomorsk

During the working meeting, preparations for the concession competition for the first and container terminals of the port of Chornomorsk were discussed.

A working meeting of representatives of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, advisors and the team of the project office of the public-private partnership “SPILNO”, as well as representatives of the Black Sea branch of the State Enterprise “USPA”, was held in the sea port of Chornomorsk.

The main topic was preparations for the concession competition for the first and container terminals of the port.

“We discussed the key stages of transferring the terminals to concession, the terms of the contract and the procedure for transferring property. We also considered the possibilities of improving automobile logistics around the port,” the USPA said.

The participants of the meeting emphasized that the concession process will be conducted openly and transparently, in compliance with all the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine. All its stages will be carried out on the basis of competitive dialogue, which guarantees equal access for interested investors to participate in concession competitions for port infrastructure facilities.

As previously reported by USM, in February this year, the Ministry of Development and the EBRD discussed the concession of the Black Sea Port.
