Prices for Ukrainian wheat are falling

The cost of Ukrainian wheat is falling against the background of sales from shallow ports.

As of February 8th, the cost of offers of Ukrainian wheat with 11.5% and 12.5% protein FOB Berdiansk for delivery in February-first half of March amounted to $282/ton and $288/ton FOB Berdiansk, respectively, which is $12/ton less against proposals for February 1st, according to Refinitiv Agriculture.

Such a decrease followed the boosting of sales of wheat for export from the ports of Berdiansk and Mariupol in case the situation between Ukraine and Russia worsened.

Corn offers in Mykolaiv were still available at $282/tonne FOB for February delivery, while grain prices in deep water ports received some support from Chinese demand.
