Russia is expanding Baltic ports to reduce dependence on the Black Sea

Moscow aims to reduce dependence on Black Sea ports and increase exports by 50% by 2030.

Russia is intensifying the development of ports in the Baltic Sea to diversify grain export routes, Reuters reports.

The country plans to increase agricultural exports by 50% by 2030, reducing dependence on risky routes through the Black Sea, amid a war it itself started.

Russian authorities and business representatives announce the opening of new ports in the Gulf of Finland — Vysotskyi and Lugaport. According to experts, these ports will be able to process up to 15 million tons of grain and other agricultural products every year. This will help the terrorist country to diversify its grain supply, in particular, to Latin America and Africa.

The massive expansion of port infrastructure is part of President Vladimir Putin’s plan to make Russia a key player in the global agricultural market.
