Russia presented its own surface drone “Murena-300”
According to the technical characteristics, the Russian maritime drone allegedly resembles the Ukrainian Magura V5 drone.
An exhibition of military equipment “Army-2024” was recently held in Russia. The new Murena-300 marine drone was presented there, rosZMI writes.
Russian engineers claim that the drone can allegedly cover a distance of 500 km and carry up to 500 kg of payload, primarily explosives. The cruising speed of the marine drone reaches 45 km/h.
It was also stated that Murena-300 is equipped with satellite communication, which protects the drone from the effects of electronic warfare (EW). Also, the drone has an inertial navigation system and can conduct video recording in real time.
It is also noteworthy that, unlike the Ukrainian Magura V5 drone, Murena-300 is equipped with an outboard motor used on civilian boats.
Earlier, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense stated that the Russians tried to recreate the Ukrainian Magura V5 surface drones.
