Russians are not allowed in the port of Batumi
In the Georgian port of Batumi, people protested the arrival of a Russian cruise ship.
On the morning of July 27, the Astoria Grande cruise ship with Russian tourists arrived at the Batumi port from Sochi. The vacationers were “welcomed” by local residents who are protesting against the visit of the Russian vessel. This is reported by “European Pravda” with reference to the Mtavari TV channel.
The day before, the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia stated that the cruise ship is not under sanctions, because it is “registered in the Seychelles in the name of Goodwin Shipping Limited”.
Before that, the Georgian government denied the news about Russian cruises through the port of Batumi.
Earlier, the Astoria Grande had an accident in the Black Sea, hitting a breakwater.
