Russians have begun transporting fuel tankers across the Crimean Bridge
The Russians have started to transfer fuel tanks across the Kerch Bridge. Previously, they did not do this due to risks.
Currently, the Russians are defining the Kerch Bridge as a priority object for protection. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, Ukrinform reports.
According to Pletenchuk, the Russians have started to transfer fuel tanks across the bridge, which was not the case before.
“This is a serious burden for this object and, given the damage it received earlier, it is quite risky. There were times when these tanks stood for months and could not enter the bridge. Because the main way to transfer them was by ferries. And the ferries are not working thanks to our efforts. And, accordingly, they have quite a few choices,” the spokesman said.
Pletenchuk suggested that the invaders are forced to take risks and still launch these tanks across the Kerch Bridge.
“There is such a change. At least it was recorded that they transferred it. This information has yet to be confirmed, but for now, there is preliminary information. And this is a slight change in the nature of the operation of this facility. In any case, it now plays a significant role for them,” he noted. Earlier, USM reported that Russian defensive structures were disappearing near the Crimean Bridge. The possible reason for the disappearance of the defensive barges was explained by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
