The crew of the tanker GAS ATHENA has not received salaries for five months. All requests from the team to the management remain unanswered.

Odesa yachtsmen Yuri Khomich and Vladimir Dyachenko were dismissed. Prior to that, the seafarers has spent 8 months in a jail, after which they were sentenced to 4 years in prison.

A seaman’s work and life at sea is limited by the size of the vessel. And the cabin is the place where you have to live for several months in a row. The psyche of the sailor and, in many respects, the success of the voyage itself depends on how the cabin is arranged. It is good if the vessel is designed to a high standard, with large living quarters, seating areas and comfortable living conditions. On September 1st, an experimental project will start – CES testing of sefarers. It will allow Ukrainian sailors to confirm their qualifications through computer testing.

After a fire on the container vessel MSC Messina on June 25th, two more fire ignitions occurred on the vessel with a crew on board.
