“TAS Agro” plans to create its own fleet
The agricultural company aims to transform from a commodity enterprise into a vertically integrated holding.
TAS Agro wants to become a vertically integrated holding and acquire a fleet in the next few years. The head of the company Oleg Zapletnyuk stated this in an interview to Forbes.
“In three to four years, TAS Agro will be a fully vertically integrated company with its own processing, its own fleet, an efficient team, technologies, and its own research centers. We will have added value at every stage of product creation,” Zapletniuk said.
However, the company still considers the creation of its own fleet as a perspective. Now this option is not yet a concrete goal.
At the same time, the head of TAS Agro claims that the company pays attention to limiting factors and ways to overcome them.
“Perhaps, we will have our own barges, our own fleet or a transshipment terminal. Today, it is very important to be independent, that is, to control the entire logistics chain,” commented the head of the company.
