The auction for the sale of the Belgorod-Dniester port was extended until September 24

This decision was made by the State Property Fund after there were not enough participants at the privatization auction on September 16.

This was reported by Delo with reference to the State Property Fund.

The department said that the reason for the postponement was the lack of interest from potential buyers. Companies participating in the auction refused to participate in the auction before September 16, and now the search is underway for those willing to purchase the state asset.

Currently, participants will be waiting until September 24, but the official date of the next auction is still unknown.

“If no applications from participants are received after September 24, the State Property Fund will review the terms of sale of the asset, lower its starting price and announce a second privatization auction,” the journalists note.

It will be recalled that the ex-head of the State Property Fund promised during the Grain Ukraine 2024 conference that the Bilhorod-Dnister port will definitely be privatized.

Vitaly Koval noted that the Fund wants to maximize the price of the object thanks to ship calls. However, ship calls to the port depend not only on the State Property Fund, but also on security factors, which are currently being worked on.

Also recently, the director of the Bilhorod-Dnister port, Oksana Kiktenko, said that the Ukrainian companies Nibulon and Nika-Tera are interested in the privatization of the Bilhorod-Dnister port.

Subsequently, Group DF was told that they would not participate in the privatization of the Bilhorod-Dnister port.
