The Czech Republic is considering a system of deposits for the import of agricultural products from Ukraine
Deposits will be returned to importers if Ukrainian grain is sent from the EU to the markets of third countries.
Radio Prague International writes about it.
The Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic and representatives of the country’s political parties agreed on the possibility of introducing duties in the form of deposits that are returned to agricultural products imported from Ukraine to the EU.
According to the experts of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic, this could solve the problem when the import of agricultural products from Ukraine reduces the competitiveness of Czech farmers.
The EU will hold negotiations on a new form of agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain to the European market by the middle of this year.
