The European Commission urged the Russian Federation to extend the Grain Agreement
The European Commission calls on Russia to extend the Grain Agreement to allow the safe export of Ukrainian grain through Black Sea ports.
In particular, the Executive Vice President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, addressed the Russian Federation, writes Reuters.
According to the official, Russian restrictions on the transportation of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea create problems not only for Kyiv, but also for many developing countries.
Dombrovskis also noted that Russia uses “grain as a weapon.”
The politician also reminded that currently about 45 million tons of agricultural products were exported via alternative routes through Poland and Romania.
