The financial director of an Odesa agricultural enterprise will appear in court
The products, the profits from which were hidden, were exported by sea through one of the ports of the region to China and India.
The head of an Odesa enterprise, who hid over UAH 158 million in profits, will be tried, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports.
The indictment against the financial director was sent to court on the fact of intentional tax evasion in especially large amounts (Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused intentionally did not include in the tax reporting for the first half of 2024 part of the profit received from the export of 92 thousand tons of wheat, soybeans, barley and corn with a total value of over UAH 879 million.
The products were exported by sea through one of the ports of the region to China and India.
“Considering that the amount of actually sold products and the company’s income were many times greater than declared, the state budget did not receive more than UAH 158 million in taxes,” the prosecutor’s office said.
It should be noted that the losses caused to the state have now been fully compensated.
As previously reported by USM, it became known which agricultural companies paid the most taxes in 2024.
