The Hague Court allowed the arrest of the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Viktor Sokolov, commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

The court issued warrants for the arrest of Viktor Sokolov, commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, and Sergey Kobylash, commander of the long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the ICC reported.

According to the court’s statement, “there are reasonable grounds to believe that the two suspects are responsible for missile strikes carried out by forces under their command against Ukrainian energy infrastructure from at least October 10, 2022, to March 9, 2023.”

The damage and losses caused by the strikes on the civilians clearly exceeded the expected military advantage, the court noted.

Previously, USM said that the SBU reported the suspicion to the Russian generals, who ordered to mine the “grain corridor”.

At the beginning of the year, the SBU arrested the owner of an agricultural holding, which supplies food products for farmers on the left bank of the Kherson region.
