The Romanian government will finance its ports to increase the transit of Ukrainian grain

The Romanian government will provide state aid of up to 118.6 million lei (24 million euros) to operators of sea and river ports.

The aid will increase the capacity of local ports and allow more grain to be transported from Ukraine.

As Romania insider writes, recipient companies will receive direct grants with a limit of 2 million euros per beneficiary.

The event is partially financed from the funds allocated for Romania from the European budget. State aid will be provided until December 31, 2023
