The Russian Black Sea Fleet has not restored the boom barriers – satellite images

The monitoring group reports that the invaders no longer care about protecting the remnants of their fleet in the Sevastopol Bay.

After the winter storms, the boom barriers at the entrance to the Sevastopol Bay have never been restored. This is reported by the Crimean Wind monitoring group, citing satellite imagery.

Although the boom barriers remain in place at the entrance to the Southern Bay, which is a branch of the Sevastopol Bay, the main bay, where the Russian Black Sea Fleet base is located, is currently left without protective structures.

According to analysts, the lack of barriers may indicate that the Russian military has lost interest in the safety of its ships in Sevastopol. The remnants of the fleet in the bay consist mainly of old ships or ships damaged by strikes by Ukrainian forces. The main combat-ready units of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were moved to Novorossiysk a year ago.

Recently, USM wrote that the invaders launched the first container train to the port of Sevastopol through the temporarily occupied regions.
