Previously, the Russian ship had been idle off the Syrian coast for several weeks without permission to enter.

The warship Sparta II, which is part of the so-called Syrian Express, has entered the military part of the port of Tartus in Syria. This is reported by “Militarnyi”.

It is likely that the ship will be loaded with Russian military equipment before the final evacuation of Russian troops from Syria.

Sparta II left the Russian naval base in Baltiysk on December 13, 2024. Since January 8, the ship has been standing off the Syrian coast before receiving permission to enter Tartus.
