The traitor Medvedchuk’s yacht is still under arrest, the Prosecutor General’s Office
The Prosecutor General’s Office declares that the “Royal Romance” yacht, which belonged to the ex-leader of the opposition party and Putin’s “best friend” Viktor Medvedchuk, is under indefinite arrest in Croatia.
Ukrainian Pravda writes about this with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the spokeswoman of the Office, Nadia Maksimets.
According to the spokeswoman, the statements of the Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) that the yacht was not sold due to the lack of an indictment in criminal proceedings are groundless and misleading the public.
“Since ARMA, having received the decision of the national and Croatian courts on the confiscation of the yacht and its sale, did not have time to realize this asset within this period, the Prosecutor General’s Office together with colleagues took all measures to impose European sanctions on this vessel,” Nadiya Maksimets emphasized.

Prosecutors explained that today the “Royal Romance” yacht is also under arrest in two proceedings against the specified ex-national deputy. EU officials and institutions received the information they needed to make a decision to impose sanctions on Medvedchuk’s assets, including the Royal Romance yacht.
Thus, on May 27, 2024, the European Union introduced personal sanctions against the suspect and his wife.
Currently, the yacht Royal Romance is under arrest on the basis of indefinite sanctions — detained in the port of the city of Trogir by the decision of the Permanent Sanctions Group and cannot leave the territory of the EU.
In particular, joint work is ongoing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and international partners to develop a mechanism for its confiscation and implementation.
On Wednesday, July 24, Yaroslav Zaliznyak wrote that the OGPU has been conducting criminal proceedings for two years, and there is still no indictment on them. He noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office seized Medvedchuk’s property as part of the investigation into three criminal proceedings against him.
“The nuance is that all these proceedings and procedural documents in Ukraine have their own territoriality. That is, all this indefiniteness in Ukraine. The problem is that the yacht is in Croatia. And in order to legalize our procedural decisions there, it is necessary to carry out certain procedures and obtain the decisions of the Croatian courts. This is successfully used by Medvedchuk’s lawyers abroad. It was because of the lack of an indictment by the OGPU that they managed to get the District Court of the city of Split to cancel the arrest of the yacht in the very procedure, according to which ARMA was already preparing the sale of the yacht,” explained the People’s Deputy.
It will be recalled that on July 23, Yaroslav Zhelezniak stated that ARMA cannot sell the seized yacht Royal Romance, as the court in Croatia canceled the seizure.
