The Ukrainian Armed Forces significantly pushed back the occupiers on the Kinburn spit, Humenyuk
The Ukrainian military significantly pushed back the russian in on the Kinburn Spit.
However, once every few days the invaders hit the Dnipro-Buzka estuary with artillery, the spokeswoman of OC “Pivden” Humeniuk reported on Espresso.
According to her, the enemy is doing this to mark its presence on the western part of the Kinburn spit and to hint at control over sea transport routes. However, the permanent presence of the enemy is not recorded there.
Humeniuk added that the occupying army does not betray its tactics — it gathers closer to the mainland, where it hides behind civilians.
Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim said that Mykolaiv port will be able to be launched only after the release of the Kinburn spit. Geographically, ships have to pass a kilometer away from the spit, which is currently dangerous.
The Kinburn spit is located in the Mykolaiv region, 4-7.5 km from Ochakov. The spit partially separates the Black Sea from the Dnipro-Buzka estuary.
