Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania signed an agreement on demining the Black Sea

Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania signed an agreement on the joint fight against sea mines in the Black Sea.

According to Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Güler, the memorandum provides for the creation of a mine action task force among the three NATO allies to combat drifting mines, AP writes.

“We jointly decided to sign a protocol between the three countries with the aim of more effectively combating the mine threat in the Black Sea by improving our existing close cooperation and coordination,” Güler said.

This initiative also aims to make grain transportation from Ukraine safer.
