Ukraine wants to hold negotiations with Poland and the EU on unblocking the border
Already this week, Ukraine plans to hold negotiations with Poland and the European Union regarding the unblocking of the border.
Kyiv wants to hold negotiations with Poland and the European Commission this week regarding the blocking of Ukrainian trucks at the border by Polish truckers, Reuters reports.
“This week, we hope to hold negotiations in a tripartite format,” Ukraine’s trade representative Taras Kachka said on November 20.
According to him, blocking the border may affect the supply of energy resources that are critically important for Ukraine. This mostly applies to liquefied gas, as well as gasoline and diesel fuel.
Last week, negotiations between Ukraine and Poland regarding blocking the border took place, but the parties did not reach a compromise.
As of November 19, Ukrainian drivers remained blocked at the Polish border for more than 10 days. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
