Ukraine will use the fleet in four international exercises


Nine exercises will be carried out in Ukraine in 2022, 4 of them – with the participation of the military fleet.

On November 29th, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the bill №6359 on the admission of foreign military personnel to the territory of Ukraine to participate in multinational exercises in 2022, BlackSeaNews reports.

So, in 2022, it is planned to carry out 9 exercises. Of these, the navy will be involved in 4:

  • multinational United Efforts 2022;
  • Ukrainian-Polish Silver Saber-2022;
  • Ukrainian-American Sea Breeze-2022;
  • Ukrainian-Romanian Riverine-2022.

During the exercise, about 30 ships will be involved.

Each of these exercises will be attended by from 400 to 19 thousand Ukrainian and foreign military. Expected costs for all 9 exercises are UAH 106.5 million (USD 3.88 million).
