Ukrainian grain exports lag behind by 5 million tons compared to last year

As of mid-April, since the beginning of the 2024-25 MY, Ukraine has exported 33.8 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
This is 5 million tons less than for the same period last year, according to statistics from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
As of April 17 last year, the total shipment figure was 38.608 million tons.
In particular, in April this year, Ukraine exported 1.07 million tons of grain.
By crop, since the beginning of the season, the following have been exported:
• wheat – 13.423 million tons (in April – 300 thousand tons),
• barley – 2.242 million tons (25 thousand tons),
• rye – 10.8 thousand tons (0),
• corn – 17.718 million tons (741 thousand tons).
Total exports of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season as of April 14 are estimated at 55.6 thousand tons (in April – 2.1 thousand tons), in particular wheat – 51.5 thousand tons (2 thousand tons). As previously reported by USM, in March Ukraine exported 5.4 million tons of agricultural products. The key export items in March were corn and sunflower oil.
