During combat duty, Island-type patrol boats and servicemen often encounter air targets and destroy them.
The Ukrainian Navy of the MoD reported this in a story for Army TV.
In case of danger, Island-type boats, which the Ukrainian Navy received from the United States even before the full-scale invasion, increase speed to maximum.
A serviceman with the call sign Dragon said that the commander should not announce what the danger is.
“He only gives orders to the mechanics to prepare the main engine to increase speed,” the serviceman noted.
The Navy emphasized that during combat duty, servicemen often encounter enemy air targets and destroy “shaheeds.”
The boats are armed with a 25 mm Bushmaster automatic artillery mount and two 12.7 mm machine guns. The boat’s crew consists of nine fighters and a dog named “Colonel”.
