USPA will spend 829 million on infrastructure repairs and dredging


This year, State Enterprise “USPA” plans to spend UAH 829 million. In particular, for the restoration of infrastructure that was damaged as a result of missile strikes.

Yes, on July 13 Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Vasyl Shkurakov visited the ports of Chornomorsk and Odesa.

Those present at the working meeting got acquainted with the plans of AMPU until the end of 2024 and the results of the work of the Ukrainian maritime corridor.

Special attention was paid to capital investments. Thus, for the current year, State Enterprise “USPA” has planned 829 million hryvnias.

Major repairs and restoration of critical infrastructure damaged by the Russians (piers, roads, railway tracks, branch buildings) are among the priority directions. They also plan to carry out dredging works and purchase a technical fleet for the needs of USPA.

The USPAemphasized that 57.55 million tons of cargo were transshipped in almost a year of operation of the sea corridor. Also, 2,059 ships exported goods to 46 countries of the world, including 39 million tons of products of Ukrainian farmers.

“Thanks to the United Defense Forces, business, and international partners, it was possible to ensure a stable and predictable volume of exports, to restore container transportation and ferry service,” the message reads.

Previously, USM reported that USPA received a new pilot vessel for ports on the Danube.
