UZ increased the volume of cargo transportation thanks to the maritime corridor

In January 2024, Ukrzaliznytsia exported 7.5 million tons of cargo. In particular, thanks to the work of the maritime corridor.

“Ukrzaliznytsia records a record increase in the volume of cargo transportation. In January, the company exported 7.5 million tons of cargo,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

According to him, this is a quarter more than November 2023, which was already a record for the total volume of freight since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The minister emphasized that such a high result would not have been possible without the operation of the Ukrainian temporary corridor through the Black Sea.
