UZ suspended 30% discount on export transportation of agricultural products

JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” has canceled the 30% discount on export transportation of agricultural products.

This was reported by  Rail.insider with reference to the company’s information.

Thus, from March 20, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” canceled the discount on export transportation of agricultural products, provided for by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 581.

The decision is related to the entry into force of a new order of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

In particular, on March 20, the order of the Ministry of Regional Development No. 376 came into effect, which approved an updated list of territories where hostilities were or are ongoing. It also canceled the previous order of the Ministry of Reintegration from 2022, which determined such territories.

Accordingly, “Ukrzaliznytsia” has stopped providing a 30% discount on export transportation of agricultural products from stations located in zones of possible or active hostilities, as well as in temporarily occupied territories. The discount was in effect in accordance with the government resolution of May 17, 2024 No. 581.

By the time the preferential tariff was canceled, the railway had already shipped more than 24 thousand wagons of grain at a discount.

Earlier, USM reported that Ukrzaliznytsia would not provide a 30% discount on transportation to Danube ports.
