Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet

Ukraine has imposed sanctions against the Russian “shadow fleet”.

This is stated in Decree №67/2025. By it, President Volodymyr Zelensky implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council.

The Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, clarified that Decree No. 67/2025 provides for sanctions against 57 captains of the Russian tanker fleet (56 Russians and one Iranian).

Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine will impose sanctions against persons who facilitate the work of the Russian “shadow fleet”.

Recall that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, about 230 tankers from Western companies have joined the Russian “shadow fleet”.
