He helped seize the assets of “Nibulon”: the SBU informed about the suspicion of a collaborator
The security service informed about the suspicion of a collaborator involved in the capture of the largest agricultural enterprises of Luhansk region “Agroton” and “Nibulon”.
The collaborator helped the invaders to seize the assets of agricultural enterprises, as well as export stolen Ukrainian grain to the Russian Federation, the SBU reports.
The suspect is a former head of one of the Luhansk region’s agricultural companies.
The investigation gathered sufficient evidence of his involvement in the seizure by the occupiers of the assets of the most powerful enterprises in the region of the agro-industrial complex PJSC Agroton and LLC JV Nibulon, as well as in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain products to the Russian Federation.
In May-July 2022, the occupation government of the “People’s Republic Luhansk” adopted a series of “legal acts” that were supposed to create the appearance of legality in the occupation of the property of these companies by the occupiers.
As a result, the invaders created the so-called “Luhanskaya Agropromyshlennaya Kompaniya LLC” on the basis of the captured enterprises.
A citizen of the Russian Federation, an entrepreneur from the Krasnodar Territory, became the general director of the company. And the position of “executive director” was given to one of the managers of PJSC “Agroton”, who went to cooperate with the occupiers.
He organized the work of the occupying enterprise on the basis of “Agroton” and started conducting economic activities.
In particular, at the beginning of July last year, together with the “head of the People’s Republic of Ukraine”, he started a “harvesting campaign” to collect grain sown by Ukrainian farmers in the temporarily occupied territory of the region.
In August last year, with his participation, the invaders organized the export of grain products stolen from elevators and warehouses of agricultural enterprises of the Luhansk region to the Russian Federation for sale.
The SBU informed the “executive director” of the occupying agro-enterprise about the suspicion of aiding the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2) and of collaborative activities (Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 15 years in prison and confiscation of property.
So, now on the Turkish ship Sword Lion there is grain of Ukrainian origin, exported in violation of the state border of Ukraine, without observing the necessary customs procedures. It is, in fact, contraband. It is possible that the grain is related to Russia’s crimes in the occupied territories of Ukraine (forcible seizure of agricultural products, etc.), but this requires further research.
