Egypt ordered half a million wheat from the Russian Federation

Egypt agreed to supply 480,000 tons of Russian wheat.

This week, Egypt ordered 8 shipments of Russian wheat for November and December. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to sources.

The agreement provides for the supply of 480,000 tons of wheat. This amount of grain is 4% of the annual import of Egypt.

It is interesting that Egypt was negotiating with Russia regarding the order of wheat back in September. However, the deal collapsed after Moscow tried to set an unofficial floor price.
