Ukrainian grain will be sent from the Turkish port as part of Grain from Ukraine

They are preparing to send 25 thousand tons of Ukrainian grain to Nigeria from the Turkish port of Samsun.

“This grain was delivered in bulk from one of the ports in Ukraine during the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” said Vasyl Bodnar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkey, in a comment to Ukrinform.

According to him, grain is currently stored in Turkey within the framework of the UN World Food Program.

The diplomat also visited the port and the ship Fuat Sezgin, which will deliver cargo to Nigeria as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative.

The ambassador emphasized that it is planned to send another 60 ships from various ports.

“This initiative will be implemented to the extent that the grain will be used, whether from the ports of Turkey or from other ports where it is currently stored. The key coordinator is the UN World Food Programme, which uses loading opportunities either from Ukrainian ports or from those previously bought or stored in Turkey or other countries. In particular, we are talking about Spain, which is often talked about as one of the destinations for Ukrainian grain,” said Vasyl Bodnar.
