Polish customs officers refuse to seal Ukrainian grain trucks

Customs officials in Poland refuse to put seals on trucks with Ukrainian grain that are transiting to other countries.

Already since February 12, all trucks with grain that have passed customs clearance are not released and refuse to be sealed. This was stated by Volodymyr Balin, vice president of the Association of International Motor Carriers, during the “Ukrinform” briefing.

He explained that during customs clearance, transit trucks must be sealed so that the cargo is guaranteed to pass through the territory of Poland. But the country’s customs officials refuse to put seals, because protesters at the border can tear them off again and damage the goods.

It will be recalled that the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Poland, Michal Kolodzejczak, said that Poland will start a mandatory inspection of all Ukrainian grain that passes through the country in transit.

As previously reported by USM, at the beginning of February, Polish farmers announced a new blockade of the border with Ukraine.
