Water is returned to the Kakhovskyi reservoir
More than half a year after the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovska HPP, water began to return to the empty reservoir.
Satellite images of Velikyi Lug show that today a large part of the previously drained territory of the former reservoir is covered with water, Ukrinform reports.
According to experts, the spring melting of snow brought additional moisture to the lower reaches of the Dnipro.
In the absence of artificial regulation of the water level on the territory of the former Kakhovskyi Reservoir, one can observe the same processes that occur on natural, unregulated river floodplains.
It will be recalled that the blowing up of the Kakhovska HPP, carried out by the Russians in June, caused Ukraine losses of 11 billion dollars.
