Ukraine increased the production of Neptune missiles 10 times

Ukraine is increasing the production of “Neptune” anti-ship cruise missiles. The Armed Forces use them to attack Russian ships in the occupied Crimea.

One of the ships that managed to “survive” after the meeting with the Ukrainian “Neptune” is the Russian rescue ship “Kommuna”, Forbes reports.

Launched in 1913, it served in three navies — the Russian Imperial, Soviet and Russian.

Satellite images published after the attack of the Armed Forces on the ship show the absence of external damage to the ship. If they exist, they are purely internal.

According to Forbes, on April 21, the Kommuna ship was hit by the anti-ship Neptune.

Ukrainian missiles and drones repeatedly struck the Black Sea Fleet during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, damaging or destroying more than a dozen of the fleet’s major ships, as well as its auxiliary air bases, air defense assets, and command posts — not only in Sevastopol, but also in other Crimean ports and even in the south of the Russian Federation.

The first victim brought to the Ukrainian “Neptune” was the “Moskva” – cruiser and ex-flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

After the destruction of the cruiser, the Russians took other ships of the fleet away from the Ukrainian coast. So Ukraine had to modify missiles in order to “take out” enemy ships in Crimea.

Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch” undertook the production of “Long Neptune”. This rocket has enough fuel to fly 200 miles.

The Long “Neptune” struck for the first time in August, damaging a Russian Air Force S-400 anti-aircraft battery in Crimea. And during a large-scale raid last month, the Long-range “Neptunes” targeted four Russian ships in Sevastopol, as well as port facilities and an oil depot.

Ukrainian officials have told U.S. officials that they have increased “Neptune” production tenfold, which means the Armed Forces could soon have dozens, if not hundreds, of new missiles.

Earlier, USM reported that the Russians found the remains of the Ukrainian anti-ship missile “Neptune” in the Sea of Azov. It is interesting that the missile broke through the deep-echelon air defense system of the Russian Federation, if it was able to reach the Sea of Azov.

We will remind, the Navy of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the “Kommuna” ship in Sevastopol.
