India received a cargo of oil products from the ship “Sovcomflot”
The Russian Federation resumed the delivery of petroleum products to India by the state-owned Sovcomflot.
A vessel controlled by the Russian Sovcomflot unloaded 90,000 tons of fuel oil at a port in western India, Reuters writes.
The SCF Baltica in question was carrying fuel oil for Reliance Industries, the operator of the world’s largest oil refinery in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The vessel will leave the port on Friday after being fully unloaded.

It is worth noting that the SCF Baltica is not among the 14 vessels that Washington has imposed sanctions on in recent months.
It will be recalled that India was the largest buyer of Russian oil last year after other groups abandoned purchases following Western sanctions against Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
As previously reported by USM, at the end of February 2024, the Russian Sovcomflot and 14 tankers associated with the company were on the US sanctions list.
