“Nibulon” has passed the certification for the use of machines for demining agricultural land
“Nibulon” specialists received a certificate for the use of machines for demining agricultural lands.
The company’s specialists have successfully passed certification in the direction of “Demining using machines and mechanisms” from the Center for Mine Action of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Nibulon reported.
The presence of this certificate gives Nibulon sappers the opportunity to use demining machines, in particular GCS-200, in the process of clearing Ukrainian lands from explosive objects.
The division already has two GCS-200 remote control machines, which makes it possible to return up to 20,000 square meters of Ukrainian land to the country’s economy every day. And by the end of this year, the fleet of Nibulon demining machines will double to four GCS-200s.
“Now the Nibulon team of deminers has a comprehensive set of competencies and can provide demining services at cost to all interested parties,” says Mykhailo Rizak, director of interaction with authorities. – However, agricultural producers are not able to pay them on their own.”
The mechanism introduced by the Government for compensation of only 80% of the cost of services is not economically justified, since it is more profitable for farms to abandon mined land than to bear the costs of demining and losses due to the drop in productivity after the introduction of land into circulation. Small and medium-sized agricultural producers need compensation in the amount of 100% of the cost of services.
“Nibulon” is the first agricultural company – a humanitarian demining operator, which has all five key humanitarian demining certificates, its own fleet of demining equipment and has already returned more than 5,000 hectares of Ukrainian land to circulation.
