About 80% of oil products are exported through the ports of Great Odesa

Before the full-scale invasion, this figure reached about 90%.

The volume of shipments of oil products through the deep-sea ports of Odesa is about 75%-80%. This was stated by the general director of the association “Ukroliyaprom” Stepan Kapshuk, “Ukrinform”writes.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, when Russia blocked the ports, the industry was in a state of collapse. About 35% of such transportation was undertaken by the railway, about 20% by road transport.

At the same time, logistics costs increased by 3-4 times. The cost of delivering 1 ton of oil to Europe was about 353 euros.

The expert emphasized that 95% of Ukrainian oil is exported to more than 100 countries of the world, and Ukraine is the world leader in oil supply. Ukraine exports the most oil to Europe, slightly less to India, China and African countries.

As USM previously wrote, according to USDA forecasts, Ukraine will remain the leading exporter of sunflower processing products in 2024.
