Agromino became the port operator and acquired a second vessel
The Ukrainian agricultural company Agromino became the port operator and acquired the second vessel for transporting grain.
The Agromino company purchased a second vessel. Anastasiya Vankova, manager of trading and logistics of grain and oilseed crops at Agromino, told about this at Maritime Days 2024, reports Latifundist.
“We discovered a new direction for ourselves – ships and the port. We understood that depending on someone in the season when everyone is trying to export grain, can lead to the loss of our margin – due to idle cars and ships. This led us to the motivation to obtain the status of a port operator and purchase a second vessel, which we are currently operating, and which is currently loaded with our grain in the port of Chornomorsk,” said the manager.
The company sold the first vessel. The second purchased vessel is a handysize.
“The main idea was that we want to export our grain, that is, get a margin on our grain as an agricultural holding. We don’t want anyone else to make money off of us. We want to be self-sufficient and independent,” said Vankova.
According to her, the company currently has the status of a port operator and loads its own ship once a month. At all other times, Agromino can provide services to other companies that would like to transship their cargo at the terminal of the agroholding.
Previously, USM reported that the Kernel agricultural holding showed the third cargo ship purchased by the company for the transportation of grain cargoes.
