Wingardium Leviosa: in Odesa, you could see a “flying” vessel

In Odesa, an optical phenomenon was recorded – a vessel could be seen floating above the Black Sea.

A photo of the phenomenon was published in one of the local Telegram channels. On Monday, July 8, residents of Odesa noticed a ship that seems to be levitating over the sea – a phenomenon called Fata-Morgana.

This is an optical phenomenon in the atmosphere that is rare and consists of several forms of mirages.

Fata morgana occurs when several alternating layers of air of different densities are formed in the lower layers of the atmosphere (usually due to temperature differences), capable of producing mirror reflections.

As a result of reflection, as well as refraction of rays, real objects (including those located far beyond the horizon) give several distorted images on the horizon or above it, which partially overlap each other and change rapidly over time.

We will remind you that on July 8, the container ship MSC Levante F arrived at the port of Odesa from the Georgian port of Poti.

The ship is actually the first MSC container ship to arrive at a Ukrainian port since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
