The so-called “governor” of the Kherson region received another suspicion for stealing grain

Volodymyr Saldo, the Gauleiter of the Kherson region, received another suspicion — this time, of stealing almost 3,000 tons of Ukrainian grain.

According to the investigation, he ordered the export of grain from occupied Kherson to Russian-controlled territories.

The former deputy of the Kherson City Council was notified in absentia of the suspicion of having given an order to commit violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

We will remind you that Volodymyr Saldo, the Gauleiter of the Kherson region, already has a 15-year prison sentence in absentia in another case. In the latest case, according to the investigation, after becoming the so-called “governor” of the Kherson region in 2022, as a high-ranking leader in the occupied territory, he exerted pressure on local business representatives and facilitated the capture and robbery of enterprises.

In the fall of 2022, he ordered the creation of a temporary administration at the captured Kherson Bakery Combine. In its warehouses, as reported, more than 30,000 tons of grain and technical crops belonging to various business entities were stored.

He gave the order to export grain from Kherson. As a result, the enemy managed to take three barges from the occupied regional center to the controlled territories of the Russian Federation a batch of barley weighing more than 2.8 thousand tons and worth almost UAH 15 million.

Earlier, USM reported that the Russians took the stolen grain from the Kherson region to Spain.
