The largest number of vessels that entered the ports of Odesa region in August belonged to shipowners from Turkey and Greece.

Andriy Klymenko, head of the Monitoring Group of the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, announced this.

In August 2024, 231 vessels were involved in the export of grain and other cargoes from the ports of Great Odesa (Chornomorsk, Odesa, Pivdenny). On average, this is 7.5 ships per day entering the ports.

The largest number of vessels belonged to owners from the following countries:

• Turkey – 35%,

• Greece – 15%,

• Marshall Islands – 10%,

• UAE – 8%,

• Lebanon – 8%,

• China – 7%, etc.

It should be noted that the number of repeat voyages of ships carrying grain amounted to 75%.

We will remind, during the year of existence and operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, Ukraine exported goods worth more than 19 billion US dollars.
